Who We Are

Founded in 2021, Kharita™ is a cultural initiative dedicated to the preservation and celebration of history. With a special focus on the MENA region. Kharita™ was founded on a mutual passion for history, heritage, and cartography.

What We Do

• Preserving history through the collection, preservation, and archival of historic maps, stamps, and other vintage ephemera. (Some of which date back centuries!)
• Sharing stories of culture, history, and heritage through map guided city tours and  The Atlas as well our social media channels. As a means to educate and shed light on topics that are otherwise marginalized.
• Fostering a community of individuals that share a passion for history, geography, and everything Kharita™ stands for.

At Kharita, we believe history goes beyond textbooks. We see maps as windows to the past, each telling a unique story and carrying a rich historical narrative. By preserving these pieces, we keep stories alive and pass them on to future generations. History is riddled with mistakes, and if we don’t talk about them, they’re bound to repeat themselves.
